As per Allie's good point

Some of you may not know what my hair presently looks like. It's way too long for my liking, but Sadie had a baby and so I wanted to wait for her to get back to work. This Friday should be the big day. Unfortunately my hair has gotten a smidgen longer than I think it should be.
Here's a picture of today's hair situation:

Here's how it look something like last November I think, after a somewhat recent cut:
Mostly I'm trying to figure out what to do with the bangs. I don't know how I feel about the shorter bangs from the 2nd picture. I'm thinking maybe I should keep the bangs longer from the top picture, but have them frame my face better or something.

Thoughts? I'm no good with style.
The initial shorter hair cut came from a student suggestion from a few years back. Extra credit was given to those students who came up with a nice style.

It's the queen of fashion talking, but I think keeping the long bangs is good. maybe put em over to the side. I did like the layers in your hair from the other picture.

i kinda like the short fringe, but it's hard to tell 'cause you're making a fish face and that's rather distracting.

ideally, though, i'm thinking "long and swoopy." that's a direct quote from my hairstylist, who is awesome. and portuguese.

Man I love your teaching practices. :-)

I'm all for longer bangs.

1. LOVE the second haircut picture. I think that is the perfect length for your hair.

2. Bangs--hmm. I like the idea of keeping the longish, and side-swept. The downside, though, is that it can be hard to keep side-swept bangs swept to the side. Major pain, IMHO. But if you can handle it, then awesome! I guess you're already a major trooper, because you could handle those bangs from pic #2. I had those once, and--well, my hair's curly, so they curled and I always had to straighten them--they kept tickling my eyes. Hated it.

3. I was thinking. If you could assign me any 3 books of required reading, what would you assign? I am interested in reading something of your suggestion.

Heh, you can always get choppy bangs? http://www.gracenglamour.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/02/haircuts.gif

[just. kidding. please do not even consider this.]

Okay, sorry to spam your comments. I NEEDED to share this with you--Zac Efron modeling side-swept bangs: http://coolmenshair.com/2008/05/zac-efron-hairstyle.html

AHH!

Okay, this picture is kind a goodish idea of what I am thinking: http://z.about.com/d/beauty/1/5/T/l/rosario.JPG

And I would suggest more hair in the bangs (as opposed to less, if that makes sense).

Marie: I think you're right, so maybe you do have a career in fashion.

Skylark: the fish face is part of my continuing attempt to rid myself of fear.
Em.s: I'm going to mention longer bangs and swoopy, too, tomorrow.
Em To: My teaching isn't necessarily pedagogically sound, but whoo-ee, it's fun.

I. Allie #1: Thank you.
Allie #2: I just learned what IMHO means, but first it brought up Imhotep. And I think I'm going to give the swoopy a try. We'll see how it goes, though, because I've never had much hair patience, hence the my youthful fro.
Allie #3: I'm going to comment on your blog where I bloggomented.

II. Allie: I accidentally showed this picture to my sister instead of the other link. She totally freaked and it took me a sec to realize why. Then I doubled over in laughter when I realized.
Oh, it was a good laugh. (siiiiiiiigh)

III. Allie: Please spam me more often. And bwahahaha! I hope I don't look like Zac after tomorrow. And I'm going to use that last picture tomorrow as an example to Sadie of what we're looking for.

Now those clothes look comfortable!!! (Well, except for the uhm, length (if that's what you call it) of that one skirt.) Bring it on! Can't wait to see the pics of the hair.
