Control

I was just thinking about how the first cassette tape I ever owned was Control by Janet Jackson. I loved that tape (and still own it). My parents bought it for me after they saw me singing along with the music at the Grammys or something. I think I was eight.

Do you remember what yours was? Just curious.

    New Kids on the Block - "Hangin' Tough"

    Before that I had a respectable collection of discarded 8-tracks of Neil Diamond, Chicago, Anne Murray and Sesame Street.

    The Monkees-best of. I loved it and listened to it over and over. I still like the Monkees, but I don't have the tape anymore.

    I remember recording songs that came on the radio. Oh that Britney Spears. You STILL have it...sheesh!

    I would listen to the radio and record, too. I had tons of tapes with the beginnings or ends of songs missing.
